Are you one of those people who will buy a brand new wardrobe of clothes a few sizes smaller so that it will motivate you to achieve your weight loss goal? That sounds like a perfect strategy to losing weight quickly. If you are conscious of how you look with your new figure, this is definitely a plan that might work.

Unfortunately, sometimes this can also be pretty unmotivating especially when your target weight is many months away. If that is a problem that you face, why not try a stage-by-stage approach? Instead of making one big bulk purchase, why not break it down into manageable chunks.

For example, if you wish to lose 10 pounds. You could take that and divide it by 4. So everytime you manage to lose 2.5 pounds, you will reward yourself by buying clothes in your new size. The impact of this new approach are two-fold.

Firstly, you get to reward yourself earlier than it would have been and that can be a motivating factor to encourage you to continue. Secondly, as you buy new clothes, you can throw away your bigger sized clothings and that can signify your commitment of not going back to your original size.

If your strategy to losing weight quickly is to use clothes, then you should give this suggestion some thought. Who knows, you may find this more motivating than your original plan.
