Green Tea Weight Loss

Have you been drinking green tea? Weight loss is said to be one of the benefits from drinking such herbal tea. This is because tea helps in a body process known as thermogenesis. This is where your body is given extra boost to produce its own heat.

Japanese scientists found that drinking five cups of green tea a day will help a person to lose up to 80 calories. It is also found that to lose a pound over a week, you have to cut down your calorie intake by 3500 calories. For those who are fast, you will realize that it would take nearly 44 days to drop a pound.

While this may not sound spectacular, drinking green tea for weight loss is certainly a better idea than drinking many other drinks. For example, if you drink glasses of Coke a day, you will be getting a calorie count of about 525. By replacing those Cokes with green tea, you will have an impressive –605 calories (80+525) per day, which adds up to –4235 (605×7) a week, a loss of one pound with a bit to spare.

It needn’t be Coke that you cut out, of course. For you there may be something else that you feel you could happily say goodbye to. It’s up to you to find what you can cut out, make the change and enjoy the benefits.

If you enjoy drinking green tea, weight loss is an added benefit. For more information on green tea for weight loss, do read this Weight Loss Herbal Tea article at http://www.fatburnworks.com/weight-loss-herbal-tea-do-they-work.html.
